Types of Memberships Available
FAMILY MEMBERSHIP
Up to 2 adult partners and dependants under the age of 17 years residing at the same address who compete at sanctioned race meetings, after making application is hereinafter provided (entitled to one (1) vote per adult member).
We can and do recognise that there are family situations other than what is listed above. If in doubt please ask.
SINGLE MEMBERSHIP
Any person 17 years or over, who competes at sanctioned race meetings may become a Racing Single Member of the Club upon making application is hereinafter provided (entitled to one (1) vote per membership).
SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP
Any person who wishes to be involved with the Club as a Social Member upon making application is hereinafter provided (entitled to (1) vote if the social member holds a position on the Committee or an Official position).
RECREATIONAL USERS
For members who use the tracks facilities for recreational driving (non competition) will be required to hold a ‘E Grade race licence. This must be with you at all times when using the track facilities and produced when requested by officials of the Club.

Step 2 - obtain an AKA License
Every member who uses a kart at the Go Kart Club of SA must be the holder of a current licence. Licences are issued by the AKA State Secretary.

The AKA Karting Manual (rule book) is issued with your licence by the State Secretary.
All drivers must purchase their own AMB timing transponder to be scored when racing. Cost is $345 each including 240v charger
NOTE Members whose licence’s have expired and do not renew within 30 days will be asked to return their track key. New members will be issued a key on completion of an observed licence test (OLT.)
Safety When using the track, it is the member’s responsibility to check that all safety tyre barriers are in place before and after driving their karts, and please place all rubbish in bins provided. Your assistance is required to ensure a cleaner track for all members. All karts must comply with the AKA rule book. e.g. have side pods and air box, silencers etc. All drivers must wear protective clothing as per AKA Rule book, which includes helmet, gloves, driving suit and footwear covering the ankle. Rules are displayed in the pit area and at the front gate, and must be followed at all times. No work, chain lubrication or refuelling is to be carried out on the bitumen.
Track disputes If there is a conflict with other drivers please record kart numbers and car registrations and report details to the Club. All karts using AKA approved tracks shall have a kart number.
